I LIKE this day!

Today is Decide-to-be-Married Day!

We got it covered though. Now we're waiting for Decide-on-a-House Day and Pick-the-Dress-&-Tuxes Day. But we've started in on the house hunting! Fun!!

So far we've not started working with any realtors, but we have managed to track down a good number of possibilities on the Internet and gone to see some of them. How did people ever manage to get married before the Internet?!?

We very quickly found a reasonalbly priced (for this area, nuts everywhere else) place in Lovettsville that has an awesome cherry tree in the back yard, but it's on the VERY small side of things, not much larger than Charlessa's current house, would require some work, and wouldn't appreciate in value much. (which would be a nice bonus)

Then there's the fixer-upper in Round Hill. It would definitely appreciate significantly after improvement and we might be able to bargain the price down some. But it would require a LOT of work, and I'm not knowledgeable enough to know exactly how much it would truly take. Time to call in some expert friends.

And then as we get further west toward Bluemont and Berryville, we start finding some houses with a more reasonable dollar-to-size-and-condition ratios, but we're starting to look at a 30+ minute commute for Charlessa and an hour plus for me. Been there, done that, not particularly eager to do it again if something else can be found.

But even if we haven't found the perfect love nest yet, looking for a house to live in with Charlessa is a way cool thing to do!
