Missing Him

We may have just gone through the longest time without being together since getting married and after only a weekend we may be getting ready to do it again this week.

As best as we can remember this weekend, our longest time apart since marriage was probably last year for the ACL conference. I think I flew out to Boston on Monday and returned on Friday (5 days, 4 nights).

This last week, I flew out to Kansas on Saturday and he joined me in Kansas on Friday (7 days, 6 nights). He was here for my sister's wedding on Saturday and flew back to Virginia today (Sunday). After another week out here for the ACL conference at Evangel U, I'll fly back to Virginia on Saturday (another 7 days, 6 nights).

It was so good to see Jesse on Friday and to spend the weekend together! I really can't imagine how the spouses of those in the service make it through many months of separation with the added uncertainty of knowing their loved one is possibly being asked to give his or her life. My prayers for them are once again renewed as I am reminded how blessed I am to so consistently have my husband by my side.
